About Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle was born the third of ten siblings on 22 May 1859 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and went on to receive his doctorate after working as a ship’s doctor. He died of a heart attack at the age of 71 in East Sussex in England.
